- □ On July 30, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Korean Southern Power Co., Ltd. (KOSPO) signed a mutual technical training partnership agreement to provide customized training to develop technical experts.
- □ The signing took place at the KOSPO head office in Gangnam, Seoul, and among the attendees were KOSPO CEO Sang Ho Lee and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction COO and President Keysun Han.
- □ Under the agreement, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction will provide lectures on design and engineering regarding six types of equipment, including boilers and turbines, and field training on the manufacturing of power plant facilities. KOSPO, a power utility, will offer training on the operations and management of power stations.
- □ The regular exchange of training classes is expected to enhance expertise in the Korean power plant industry and set a good precedent for building win-win relations between power plant equipment makers and operators.
- □ CEO Lee and President Han also expressed their hopes that the exchanges of state-of-the-art technologies would enhance the global competitiveness of Korea’s power plant business, saying they looked forward to seeing substantial improvements in human resource development and other synergies.
- □ Based on the agreement, the two companies plan to continue their cooperation in human resource development, not only nurturing experts but also training new recruits.
