Doosan Enerbility was able to secure innovative manufacturing technology by successfully developing 3D printing technology, which is touted as being a key technology for the 4th industrial revolution. Our innovative manufacturing technology is being used widely in various sectors, not just for gas turbine parts, but also for the manufacturing of aerospace parts.

3D Printing-based Strong Innovative Manufacturing Technology

Doosan Enerbility is the unrivalled leader of 3D printing technology in Korea, holding all-around expertise in the areas of design, materials, process, manufacturing and quality management. Backed by our engineering and 3D printing process development skills, which were acquired over the years in our role as OEM for power plant equipment, we hold optimal 3D printing and specialized design capabilities. We also possess the capability for developing 3D printing processes that are suitable for the various types of materials.

3D Printing Manufacturing Facility

We have a 1,100m2 - sized 3D printing fabrication system set up to enable small-scale mass production. A total of five 3D printers - one printer that is the world’s largest 3D printer to date, two medium-to-large sized 3D printers and two medium-sized printers - are currently operated at the company, making our company’s facility the largest metal 3D printing manufacturing facility. Furthermore, we also obtained the AS9100 quality management certification for aerospace, which is used as a basis to perform quality management on the 3D printed parts.
