Czech Prime Minister Visits Doosan’s Changwon plant

- Doosan’s Leaders Meet With the Czech Prime Minister and Introduce the Company’s Businesses and Manufacturing Facilities
  • □ Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka of the Czech Republic visited Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction headquarters and manufacturing plant in Changwon, South Korea during his visit to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and the Czech Republic, and to seek further ways of bolstering bilateral relations and expand substantial cooperation in various areas.
  • □ Accompanied by an economic delegation consisted of sixty members including government officials and entrepreneurs, the Czech Prime Minister visited Doosan on February 27 as part of an industrial tour of Korean companies that have made business investments in the Czech Republic. In 2009, Doosan acquired Skoda Power, the Czech-based power equipment company which boasts a rich heritage of power generation technologies, having specialized in the design and production of turbines for over 100 years.
  • □ Doosan’s executive team, including Vice Chairman & COO Ji Taik Chung, held a meeting with the Czech Prime Minister and the delegates to share the company’s introductory video and give a presentation on Doosan’s leading power and water businesses. Afterwards, the Prime Minister and the delegates visited the company’s manufacturing facilities including the casting & forging, turbine, and nuclear shops and expressed keen interest in Doosan’s reliable production facilities and major products.
  • □ “By incorporating Skoda Power’s proven power technologies, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction is not only accelerating its expansion into the European market but also making inroads worldwide, including India, Israel, and South America,” said COO Ji Taik Chung, adding, “Doosan will continue to satisfy its clients in the global turbine generator market by continuously developing top-tier power technologies in the future.”
