Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction COO Visits Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center

- Discusses ways to nurture SMEs, venture companies in mechatronics
  • □ On September 15, a group of corporate executives including Vice Chairman and COO Jitaik Chung and President Myungwoo Kim of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction visited the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, where they discussed ways to support small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies.
  • □ Vice Chairman Jitaik Chung was briefed by Sangki Choi, head of the Center, which conducts promotional activities for SMEs and venture firms, on its short-term achievements including the trend in its allocation of of creative economy funds. Vice Chairman Chung said, “Doosan will provide support for more than 200 SMEs and venture companies in the mechatronics and water industries to help them evolve into ‘small yet strong global companies,’ which is the vision of the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center.”
  • □ Vice Chairman Chung also experienced the 3D printing service which allows visitors to create prototypes of the designs they bring to the ‘Maker Space’ at the Center.
  • □ Since its launch in April, the service has produced more than 150 prototypes, free of charge, providing invaluable assistance.
