The Doosan Day of Community Service Celebrated Worldwide

- More than 10,000 employees at 200-plus business sites from 16 countries join together to lend a helping hand to their local communities
  • □ On September 14, Doosan Group (Chairman Yongmaan Park) celebrated the Doosan Day of Community Service, a festival of sharing participated by Doosan employees from all across the world on the same day.
  • □ On the Doosan Day of Community Service, Doosan employees worldwide?including the Americas, Europe, China, Middle East and Korea?join together for volunteer programs held to help improve their local communities and create cleaner environment. For this event, more than 10,000 employees at 200-plus business sites from 16 countries participated in a variety of activities, catering to the needs of people in their communities.
  • □ In Korea, employees helped install traffic safety facilities for children, visited the disadvantaged and welfare facilities such as senior homes, donated blood, helped repair roads and cleaned the environment. In the U.S., employees collected food and donated it to a local food bank, and helped repair the public facilities. Employees in China also visited childcare centers and cleaned the local environment. In the U.K. and Germany, employees helped renovate and repair community centers and welfare facilities in their communities.
  • □ Doosan Group Chairman Yongmaan Park participated in the Yellow Carpet program held under the theme of “Let’s make safe roads for children,” together with employees and executives in Seoul. A yellow carpet is a child safety zone with yellow markings designated for the safety of children crossing the street. With the help of the Green association of mothers from nine elementary schools in Jung-gu and police support volunteers, employees affixed the yellow carpets on 14 crosswalks frequently used by children.
  • □“Beyond a corporate volunteering program, the Doosan Day of Community Service has created a unique culture of Doosan that brings together all the employees across the globe for a meaningful activity,” said Chairman Park. “I hope that we can touch the hearts of neighbors worldwide through the volunteer activities today.”
