Doosan Donates Talent to Vietnamese National Archery Team

- Doosan’s archery team visits Vietnam for third time this year to advise players on training skills - Vietnamese team wins gold medal at 2013 and 2015 Southeast Asian Games following Doosan’s talent donation
  • □ Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (Chairman & CEO Geewon Park) announced on November 29 that its archery team has travelled to Vietnam to help with the training program of the Vietnamese national archery team as part of an inter-country exchange and talent donation program.
  • □ For about one week from November 28, Doosan’s archery team will help with the Vietnamese archers’ training by sharing such techniques as shooting skills and equipment management at the national training center in Hanoi. The current visit is the third exchange this year.
  • □ Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction signed an agreement with its local affiliate, Doosan Vina, and the Vietnamese Archery Association in 2013 to help raise the performance of Vietnam’s archery team under a series of exchange programs.
  • □ The special training support provided by Doosan’s archery team has yielded remarkable results over the last three years, with the Vietnamese team winning gold medals in the men’s individual and group competitions at the 2013 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), and gold medals in the women’s group and the men’s individual competitions in the 2015 SEA Games. The Vietnamese team conveyed words of appreciation to Doosan, saying they had significantly improved their skills.
  • □ Since its establishment in 1994, Doosan’s archery team has earned global renown, producing the winner at the 2001 World Championship, the gold medalist in the men’s group competition at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and winners in both individual and group competitions at the 2009 World Championship.
Doosan’s archery team is helping with the Vietnamese archers’ training by sharing such techniques as shooting skills and equipment management at the national training center in Hanoi.
