Doosan Enerbility announced on July 7th that it had held the “Offshore Wind Technology Exchange Session 2025” with Jeju National University.
The technology exchange session will be held for two days starting on July 7th at the Jeju Southwest Sea Wind Farm and the Yeonggwang Wind Power Demonstration Center. This year marks the third time the session is being held, with close to thirty people in attendance, including twenty people consisting of faculty members and students from Jeju National University, as well as members from the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Jeju Energy Corporation. The two host parties have been continually holding this event since 2023 as part of the efforts to promote offshore wind technology exchanges.
The event consists of various programs, including site tours to offshore wind farms, career path consultation talks with Doosan Enerbility employees who are Jeju National University alumni, and talks held under the theme of fostering local talents
“Offshore wind turbine technology is a key driver of carbon neutrality, and as such, the cultivation of future talents and technology exchanges for this area will serve as a solid foundation for achieving this goal,” said Seungwoo Sohn, CEO of Doosan Enerbility’s Power Services Business Group. “We will continue with our efforts of developing carbon-free technology and also faithfully perform our role as a partner that pursues mutual growth with the local communities.”
Doosan Enerbility had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province last year on cooperating to achieve the carbon neutrality vision by 2035. The company has been working to establish a solid foundation for sustainable mutual growth by expanding clean energy technologies and fostering local talents. Doosan Enerbility is engaged in various carbon-free energy projects, such as the Jeju Tamra and Hallim Offshore Wind Farm projects, as well as the wind-powered Green Hydrogen Production Plant project in the Jeju region.
