Doosan Enerbility announced on July 6 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with vibration and noise engineering company Createch at its Ulsan plant, to commemorate the first overseas deployment of its B-EYES generator monitoring system to a nuclear power plant and to strengthen the cooperation between the two companies.

B-EYES is a real-time monitoring system that measures the current, temperature, vibration and wear of the generator brush, a component that delivers electrical current to the generator rotor shaft, to detect abnormal signs at an early stage and to prevent equipment failures. Continuous monitoring based on unmanned automation enhances generator operation reliability and equipment safety, compared to conventional manual inspection methods. Under this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a cooperation framework covering the production, maintenance, after-sales service and the technical collaboration for B-EYES, while also building a foundation for long-term supply and service partnerships.

Recently, Doosan Enerbility has been selected to supply B-EYES to the generator replacement project for Units 1 and 2 of the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant in the Czech Republic. Building on this track record, the company intends to expand the business to a wider range of domestic and international power plants, including nuclear and thermal power plants.

“This MOU marks a significant milestone in commercializing generator diagnostic technology jointly developed with a domestic partner. By demonstrating our technological competitiveness through the Temelin nuclear power project, we will continue to expand our generator diagnostics and service solutions business into global markets, including domestic power companies.” said Seungwoo Sohn, Power Services BG CEO at Doosan Enerbility.
